Gidden – a stylish knife sharpener for your kitchen

Gidden is easy to use and ideal for keeping kitchen knives sharp in everyday use. Place the diamond surface against the blade and draw the knife along the sharpening surface using light, even pressure. A few light strokes are normally enough to restore sharpness.

Gidden has two diamond surfaces: 600 grit (30 µm) for regular sharpening and maintenance, and 300 grit (60 µm) when the edge is duller or more material needs to be removed.

After sharpening, rinse Gidden or, if necessary, wash it by hand with a brush and dish soap. Gidden is not dishwasher-safe.

Can I sharpen all types of kitchen knives with Gidden?

How often do I need to sharpen my knives?

It depends on how often you use your knives. Regular, light sharpening with the 600-grit surface helps keep the edge sharp for longer, reducing the need for coarser sharpening.

What is the difference between 300 and 600 grit?

600 grit (30 µm) is used for regular maintenance and refining an edge that is already in relatively good condition. 300 grit (60 µm) removes more material and is used when the edge is duller or needs to be reshaped.

Can Gidden be washed?
