Dianova Classic is a versatile diamond sharpener developed for everyday sharpening of knives, scissors, pruners and other edged tools.

The diamond surface removes material quickly and with good control, while the sharpener remains compact enough to always be within reach – in the kitchen, workshop or garage.

The Classic series is available in several sizes depending on how and where you want to use it:

Cook – best suited for kitchen knives and longer strokes
Long – extended reach for larger tools and general-purpose use
Short – compact and versatile for everyday sharpening
Mini – small enough for pocket carry, hunting or EDC

The rounded edges of the handle can also be used as a simple honing rod for quick edge maintenance between sharpening sessions.

Use

Hold the sharpener in one hand like a file and the knife in the other.

Find the edge by making light strokes across the diamond surface until the entire edge becomes shiny. Then you have found the correct angle.

Then move the blade back and forth along the sharpener. Repeat the same number of strokes on the other side to keep the sharpening even.

When the edge starts to bite, remove the burr with a few light strokes using the finer side of the sharpener.

Finish by steeling the knife against the rounded edge of the handle to realign the edge.

Rinse the sharpener after use.

How long does the diamond surface last?

Under normal use, the diamond surface lasts a very long time. Diamond removes material efficiently even with light pressure, which reduces wear over time.
