Designed to be seen. Built to be used. Made to last for years of everyday use.

Three functions in one carefully considered design – keeping your kitchen knives sharp and always within reach.

The name is a subtle nod to a world where details matter, and a sharp knife is as essential as any other tool of the trade.

Our design. Our own production. Here, we show Gidden just as it was intended to be used.

A kitchen tool worth keeping close at hand

Gidden is designed to be displayed, not hidden away in a drawer. Built for everyday use, it combines three functions in a considered design that keeps your kitchen knives sharp and always within reach.

Quick and effective

Gidden combines three functions in a compact design: a 300-grit diamond surface to restore a dull edge, a 600-grit surface to refine the edge, and a sharpening steel for quick touch-ups between sharpening sessions.

Everything in one tool, always ready when your knife needs it.

A gift that gets used

Gidden is just as natural to give as a gift as it is to keep in your own kitchen.

Make Gidden personal

Make Gidden truly yours with personal engraving. Add your own touch to the front and back, with a name, a greeting or a few words that mean something to you.

A practical companion in the kitchen, personalised down to the smallest detail.

It starts with electroplating

This is where Gidden’s journey begins. Through an electrolytic process, the diamonds are bonded to a copper plate in a carefully controlled process that creates an exceptionally durable, even sharpening surface.

Diamond Plates Before Cutting

The large diamond-coated plates are transformed into Gidden. Each sharpening surface is cut by hand to size, and the correct grit is selected for each side of the handle.

Wear Testing – Durability

Vi utsätter våra diamantytor för hård och upprepad nötning för att kontrollera slitstyrka och prestanda.

Diamantbladen tar form

We put our diamond surfaces through rigorous, repeated sharpening tests to verify their durability and performance.

Stamping the Handle

The stainless steel handle is stamped to its required shape and dimensions. This process establishes Gidden’s distinctive form and prepares the handle for the next stages of production.

Quality Control – Flatness Testing

Each stamped handle is checked for flatness. A flat, even surface is essential for ensuring that the diamond sharpening plates fit correctly during assembly.

Gidden Is Complete

All components come together in the final assembly. From the diamond plates to the stainless steel handle, every part is brought together to create the finished Gidden.
